FOR SCHOOLS

 SUP Club school program

We offer programs of varying durations for schools.
Low-cost SUP board rental without coaches is also an option, provided the students are accompanied by a supervisor (such as a teacher) who is a qualified lifeguard.

*SUP course & games
90 min.
After a theoretical briefing on land, the trainers teach Stand Up Paddling on the water with tricks and techniques to get along quickly on the SUP board. Different skill levels can be addressed. Paddling techniques for steering and fast paddling are learned. A SUP race, polo game, jousting, or other activity rounds off the water fun.

**Environmental workshop
3 hrs.
SUP course with additional topics like safety & environmental protection
The subject of water is closely linked to the issue of waste. You likely already have images in mind when you hear these terms. We will gather these ideas and then – using a numerical quiz, case studies, and a mini-Monopoly game – explore the connections between climate, waste, water, animals, humans, and the circular economy in a way that is both strategic and playful. And, of course, we will address the big question: What can WE do?

***Suppi Kids Day
approx. 6 hrs.
SUP course with additional topics such as safety & environmental protection, including breaks and games on land, and more time on the water.
If necessary, also together with an environmental protection organization, then we need some planning.

We would be happy to send you prices and more information about the course content by email:

All courses include board, paddle, life jacket, and wetsuit.
6-32 participants, group size max. 8 participants per trainer.

Who are we? Since 2014, we, the SUP Club Starnberger See, have been offering courses in paddling technique for private individuals as well as for schools, companies, 3 adult education centers, guests of the Possenhofen youth hostel, and the TSV Starnberg, and since 2016, special courses for children and young people. All trainers are trained SUP instructors and lifeguards.

Priorities: For us, the safety of every paddling guest comes first. We always carry out a safety briefing so that everyone knows what they can do to ensure their own safety and the safety of others, and which navigation rules apply on the lake. It goes without saying that there is no shortage of fun either. The topic of environmental protection is also a major concern for us. This can be adapted and expanded according to your wishes or the interests of the students. For example, the teaching content of sports and environmental education can be combined in one project.

Finally, it must be emphasized again that great learning success can be achieved in a very short time with SUP, which motivates and connects the kids with the lake and nature.
